[1] Communities of practice are groups of people who share a common interest, profession or passion and engage in a collaborative learning process that creates bonds between members. A Community of Practice may develop naturally due to the shared interests of members in a particular domain or area, or it may be created with the aim of acquiring knowledge related to a particular domain. Through the process of sharing information and experiences with the group, members learn from each other and have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally.
